FIESTA Partners meeting in Limassol, Cyprus
The 5th project meeting was held in Limassol, Cyprus on November 23-24, 2016 at the Pattichion Historical Archive.
The meeting was organized by STRATAGEM together with the team of Limassol Municipality. Representatives of all five participating countries took part in the meeting: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, and Spain.
Mr. Charis Trikkis, Councilor of Limassol Municipality, made a welcoming speech and expressed strong support of the local community to the FIESTA project.
During these two days, the project partners discussed about the technical status of the project, the difficulties faced by the city administrations in running their FIESTA Energy Help Desks (EHDs) and communication events and activities performed so far. In particular the main results achieved are the following:
- 1.300 audits performed;
- 27 workshops for social housing residents organized;
- 173 workshops for schools done;
- 15 workshops for retailers and installers of heating and cooling systems organized;
- 10 FIESTA prize giving ceremonies;
- 10 Consumer purchasing groups established.
On the second day of the meeting, project partners discussed about the project replication strategy in four roundtables, exchanging ideas and proposals on how to replicate the FIESTA model in other interested municipalities.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Fabio Tomasi – Project coordinator, together with all participants made a summary of all pending activities, and defined the upcoming tasks for all partners which to be implemented in the future.
